Rio Grande/Rio Bravo Water Resources Database (RGB-WRD)
Overview of the Project
The Rio Grande/Rio Bravo Water
Resources Database (RGB-WRD) system is an on-line bibliographic
database designed to provide biological, hydrological,
and water quality literary sources. It is an attempt to
compile historical bibliographic information for the Lower
Rio Grande/Rio Bravo (i.e. El Paso to the Gulf of Mexico)
that includes information related to stream bed sediments,
biological tissue contaminants, stream community data
(fish, benthic macroinvertebrates and algae), channel
and riparian habitat characteristics, water column chemistry,
and water column toxicity tests.
Cooperating Agencies
The U.S.
Geological Survey (USGS), Water Resources Division (WRD),
and the Texas Natural Resource Conservation Commission
(TNRCC) developed this internet page and associated database
system. Database information also was obtained from the
USGS, Biological Resources Division, Columbia, Missouri,
and the Texas General Land Office.
