Edwards Aquifer serves as the primary source of water to a growing region of south central Texas, it also supports a unique ecosystem of aquatic life, including several threatened and endangered species.

The Edwards Aquifer Data Clearinghouse provides a single source from which interested parties can view and retrieve environmental and biological data relating to the Edwards Aquifer. These data are gathered by Local, State, and Federal partner agencies. Funding for the Clearinghouse is provided by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality through a grant from the US Environmental Protection Agency.
